Description
Teressa likes woman-wolf-moon art (I'm sure you're familiar), and has always wished for something similar to celebrate her close relationship with Jake, who is mostly German Shepherd, but also part Burmese Mountain Dog. (I think that's right. Anyway ... something very big!) When she had need of a service dog, Jake was trained and certified. Once she had stabilized and no longer needed his help, she retired him from service. He has gone everywhere with her and been by her side for many, many years. He is now 14-1/2 years old, which is quite an age for such a large dog.
Jake is still with us, although he has developed a tumor that will be his demise. I was glad to be able to get this done while he's still around and doing relatively well.
Photography is mine.
Moon and star field are from NASA.
Topaz and Photoshop for painting and filters.
I gave this to Teressa last night, and she was happy to let me also post it here on Renderosity. She follows my gallery, so if you want to say something nice to her, she'll see it. :)

What a marvelous work of art and dedication to your friends Teressa and Jake. He's a handsome boy. Sorry to hear Teressa may soon be parted from such a loyal and loved companion.
Very beautifully created Tara and a wonderful present for Teressa to look back on when Jake is no longer with her. A lovely filter to bring it all together too. Excellent work and I hope Teressa is well too.
too beautiful and moving for words. A finer tribute cannot be made
sad to see them pass. both of my dogs are senior status and both has one tumor each. the family dog when I was a child had many tumors. she lived to 18 and she was euthanized because she was lame from bone joint problems
This is just absolutely exquisite, Tara! Wow - I don't know her, but this almost brings tears to the eyes. What a gorgeous and loving gift for her.
What a marvellous way to remember Jake in the future! And what a regal looking woman Teresa is!

An incredible piece of work dear Tara and a wonderful memory for Theressa to treasure long after her wonderful friend Jake has departed from this world.
Beautifully done Tara!
What a fabulous image you have created here, Tara. So much depth and peace. Love the dogs face and the and the womans sweet smile. I bet she also smiled happily to see this. :-)
