Description
In 1830 John Williams of the London Missionary Society arrived in Samoa from the Cook Islands and Tahiti and introduced Christianity to the Samoans. In May 1843, thirteen years after the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints was organized in the United States, four men were sent to be missionaries in the islands of the Pacific. In 1863, two missionaries from Hawaii were sent to Samoa to establish the Church there. On 17 June 1888 the Mission was formally organized. A temple was built near Apia and was dedicated on 5 August 1983. The temple burned down in July 2003 and was re-built.
Nearly 99 percent of the population of Western Samoa are Christians, and of those roughly 15% belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints, the Mormons. Membership is steadily expanding.

The large gaps in the masonry make me think of lego blocks. Interesting architecture here. Quite different from the temple in Salt Lake City. Keep up the good work. :-)
