Description
Reports had come in about an undead roaming the tunnels. Nea was tasked with dispatching it and securing the tunnel from further intrusions. She found the undead one and when she saw the face, she cursed. It was her cousin; turned into a thing of horror and now she must be dispatched but Nea would do it with honor for her cousin deserved no less, even if she had been transformed. The blade stuck true and deep and lissah finally got the rest she needed.

Looks like lissah was dressed for a night on the town when she was infected. Better send a hunting team out to the clubs to nip things in the bud before it spreads.

Well! Of all the pieces of yours that I've seen, this has to be the darkest I remember. Poor Lissah---to be attacked by whatever turned her into a murderer. (And woe to her victims too.) You made her an amazingly grotesque 'invaded' soul; she was, as Mike said, ready for a night on the town before she was invaded. Terrific job on her skin tone, the wounds, her dying posture, etc. And Nea is in one of your typically complex poses, caught mid-lunge: Very fine, complex posing. Also, she's lit to stand out (as the force of good). The background is dingy and laden, with a "looking down" pov: Really fine work on this dark, mysterious story. Reminds me of the original "Wolfman" (Lon Chaney Jr), who was a good man tortured by the wolf's bite...Really well done, Mike!
(ps---thanks so much for your response to my dedi, I really appreciate that you took in such wild crazy writing, and with such appreciation. So far you're the only one to comment, lol...I guess I really went overboard this time. Ah well, it had to happen sometime. Hope people don't boycott my gallery from now on!
