Description

Another test of low, candlelight vs grainyness. Used Photoshop and Noiseware again to soften the image up, still some grain in the darker areas. Light used was Tenebroso light, which certainly is worth looking into more deeply, but haven't done that yet. Ah, and some food for thought (Schiller, The Hostage): The tyrant Dionys to seek, Stern Moerus with his poniard crept; The watchful guard upon him swept; The grim king marked his changeless cheek: "What wouldst thou with thy poinard? Speak!" "The city from the tyrant free!" "The death-cross shall thy guerdon be."

An excellent, well- conceived render. But I'm curious what the connection between graininess and low candlelight is ?? I've never noticed graininess in any image I've rendered in low light, photometric or emissive. Unless, of course, it's a deliberate attempt by manipulating Daz's tone mapping settings. Is this what you mean ?? Am I confused ?? :-D
