Description
Giacomo had talked himself out of (and into) a lot of places in his life. Right now, he wanted to sneak behind that locked and guarded castle gate. All he had to do was getting past that sentry. He was talking with her for a while and was just about to present the magic key for oh so many doors, a small pouch of golden coins, when he felt the guard’s hand squeezing his behind.
Boldly kissing her and making the purse disappear was one swift move. She kissed back. He realized, that being a night guard must be a *very* lonely job. About ten seconds later he knew *how* lonely that sentry must have been. He tried to leave – twice – but her strong arms pulled him back into the shadowy corner of the tower. She didn’t tire easily either and when the morning sun cast its hesitant first light, he knew that he would not get out of this castle as planned. She whispered: “Come back tomorrow night”, and so he promised.
A bit exhausted she leaned on her spear, watching him walk into the morning. She smiled dreamily. Defending that castle door never had been that much fun, and even better, that fool would come back tomorrow to try again.

Ha! Listen not to good Sir Skyvandik! I would go for the guard any day. A princess is nothing but a headache. Always getting kidnapped or into some form of trouble. Way to Giacomo!

If he's not careful, he's going to end up married, lol. Great image. I keep picturing a scene where all the night shift guards are specifically chosen for their ability to "distract" potential thieves and keep them too busy to do any harm.
