Description
Teen Josie had been sent a letter instructing her that her great Grandmother had passed away and that she left a trunk in a mausoleum on an alter. Her friends, off-camera just told her not to open the trunk, but as you can see, it's too late.
It has been a hectic month and a half with me covering for my boss while she recovers from knee replacement surgery and with me still full 100% recovered from my 'Brain Fart' but I,m surviving, I think!

First, I'm sorry you've been so overworked, and I'm not surprised that you still have some more healing to do: it wasn't so long ago that you had that mini stroke. I'm amazed at how many comments you've left---incl to me---with quality in each one, as well as posting. Take your time, I'm sure everyone who follows you knows you're as committed as it gets, and whatever you can't do, you shouldn't do.
This picture conveys just what you wrote. It has a 19th C feeling, doused in memory and mystery...what does that box contain; and the teen seems a woman of mystery. You've used marble a lot in some pieces, and you use it very well. Here, of course, it's essential, as this is from a mausoleum. But you manage to humanize it; and here, it provides a formal pedestal for this mysterious box. (You see "Pulp Fiction"? If so, remember the box with all the money in it? Where everytime Samual L. Jackson opened it, it lit up? That's what this box reminds me of.) She looks away wantonly, like a character from a 19th C novel. And your darker hues and shade all fit the picture perfectly. Very sensitively done.
ouch. I been through knee replacement before. PAIN! As for the image; Even if she had of have heard them, she would of have opened it anyway. A woman just can't resist such things. great image.
