sometimes you just do a closeup of a person, and you use one background, and that's it. A study. This one is fascinating: She's in shadow, lost in some thought---with big fairy tale eyes, like she has some special sight. She faces away from us, and turns not to us, but to a place of her own thoughts---and just stays there. Then you give this chopped ice-wall, another of your intuitive choices. We wonder what that backdrop does the rest of the time. Is this a mountainside, does she live in an ice house? Or maybe it's glass...It doesn't matter however, because it's a world to itself, and it gives the piece its light. If this were a photo,, one would say you captured a terrific solo moment, leaving us wanting more revelation. Very enticing and well done.
