Description
(continuation of the infos)
The college was mixed because it included men and women (called converses).
The apogee of the priory was short-lived: the troubles began in the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries with the growing individualism of the canons (private homes instead of sharing places of common life as stipulated in the rule). Decadence then becomes unavoidable and reaches such a degree during the sixteenth century that the pope then secularizes the priory, like all those attached to the augustinian rule in Spain.
