I never read The Hobbit, so if this is a reference to that, I apologize for not knowing it. But it doesn't matter, because the image itself is a delight. I love the dancing couple---they look great together, and you did a great job on their outfits, and on lighting them too. Love the deep crimsons and browns, next to their very bright skin tones, and the woman's gray layered dress. This feels like a fairy tale or folk tale. And the woman on the left is another great character, with a doll's face and smile, and swaiting for someone to ask her to dance. The light here is very intense, with deep reddish-black shadows---you've got a lot of Caravaggio here (look at his light and dark---very similar---chiaroscuro). And the background, though in shade, is wonderfully 19th C, and rustic. Straight out of a Dickens novel! Beautifully done. You do these folktale fantasies as well as you do realism.
