One lovely September day, many years ago, Bill and I met Mark (wysiwig) for a photography expedition. I remember that day with great fondness. Mark is easy to be around, and we wandered happily through a beautiful park all afternoon. We talked, and were silent, we wandered together and apart, and we all took a lot of pictures. It was a good day. I went back into my files to the pictures I took that day in order to find something I thought Mark would enjoy, and I found two very different shots that I worked up in different styles. Then I couldn't decide, so I'm posting them both. As I recall, this was in the first section of the garden, off to the right as you came in through the gate. What a beautiful place that was! So Mark, I hope you don't find two pictures dedicated to you to be excessive! But how many good wishes, and how much loving energy, is too much? Based on my memories of the time in my life when I lost too many people in too short a time, I would say there is no such thing as too much love from your friends. We rise on those connections, and our souls are buoyed by our friends during hard times. No picture, no good wishes, can change or take away the grief of loss, but little by little we heal. May nature's grace and peace be with you, old friend.
