Norway, Sognefjell
Now we are on the Sognefjell, our favorite fjell in this area and it started to be frosty and it was snowing also.
* * * The Sognefjellet is a mountain pass in central Norway, joining the Sognefjorden in the East with the Ottadalen in the West.
* * * At 1434 metres above sea level the Sognefjellet is the highest mountain pass in Northern Europe, and it is only accesable in the summer.
* * * British newspaper the Guardian named the Sognefjellet one of the top 10 cycle rides in the world.
* * * It has a length of 110 km (70 mi) and was inaugurated in 1938.

You will find graves and memorials beside the pass of 12 men who died while crossing the mountains 1812 by wagon and were surprised by snowstorms.

What strikes me most in this photo is the intensity of Arctic light up north ! It is very powerful and may be treacherous for photographers ! You've done a fabulous capture here ! Thanks for sharing!

And I see there is a floating bridge across the Fjord where it is too deep to construct a more conventional bridge. We have them here in Washington State, near Seattle for the same reason. Fascinating post.
