Description
The lane alongside the Corn Field is dotted with memorials and monuments. Most, like this one, are pretty traditional. Some are pretty unique. IIRC, most of these are PA and NY units.
Enjoy; thanks for viewing.

Great capture
Super capture!
Just viewed the battle map of 17 Sep 1862 (with the cornfield in the middle) put online by the Civil War Trust. What action in 40 minutes! Good looking monument.
The action here is something that the Park Service video is particularly good on. Total freaking chaos. The new film is as good as the old film we saw about 30 years back and that was truly amazing. Yes, it must have been hell for all concerned.
My great grandfather was wounded here.
That's pretty amazing. I've met others, at Gettysburg, who had a relative on either side and I wish they'd put any info they have out for all to share in. Ditto for yourself. However, many troops never passed the details down as they were trying to forget.
