My thanks to the twins for the welcome. Great work, Mike!
This is a little crazy, because I have to stop pretty soon (so why don't I wait, and start your gallery later on???) Well, I'm gonna do 1 or 2 now, and I'll continue later on. You've been putting up this long series, and it's been filled with delights. There's such a freedom it it, and I wish more artists did series like this. (I should, it would make posting art more fun for me!) I can't comment on everything I've not commented on, for lack of time; but I'll try to get a good sampling---just know I've seen them all. (And thanks for keeping us up on Rod. I really appreciated that.)
If there's a story behind this, I don't know it; but I love the fairy tale cottage, those great stones on the ground, the gingerbread feel to the house (with a sloping roof and a pentagram)...and your two guardian angels in beautiful garb and wings. Even your windows feel fairy tale-ish. I don't know how elaborate these pieces are for you---I read your technical descriptions every time, but I don't understand enough to appreciate them. But you get total scenes in these pieces, a whole world. And your use of dark background here sets off the scene beautifully---like this is a lightpost in the middle of a dark, dark wilderness...delightful and mysterious.
