Of of my favorite sauce is made of red wine and mustard, with shallots and fresh cream, it's very easy to do and yet so delicious with roast beef ;) - great scene !

My mother always said, "cook with the wine you drink, not the wine you cook with." People would say, "but then you'll be tempted to drink it!" And she'd say, "just bring extra..." I totally get this saying. The lady in this piece looks perfectly happy with her wine. There's a bottle on its side, so......And her knife is really dug into that cutting board! Lol---either she's got a really porous cutting board, or she's an aggressive cook! (Whap! Take that, you piece of wood!) Love the pepper half cut-through, and that huge lettuce in the bowl. (Cabbage?) Delightful piece. (And really, isn't it just as hard not to eat everything while cooking? If it's good, you could have 3 meals before anyone's served...)
I hope you have left a few bottles to drink with friends (LOL), really funny!
