This is a very 18th or 19th Century image. And it's delightful. The man looks like he's being very respectful and cautious, while the woman has some other things in mind. She's the seductress here, I think. You've put most of the light on the couple, with a rich silvery white. In the meantime, the rest of the image (most of it) is sunken in deep shadows, with beautiful royal purple on the bed and the canopy. The purple sets off the couple perfectly...A fine evocation of an 18th or 18th C European interior; and a delicate portrait of lovers, where one of the lovers is scheming something big for both of them...Really well done.
