Description
After attending the orchid show on 10/18/09 at the beautiful Huntington Botanical Center and Conservatory in beautiful San Marino, California, I strolled along its beautifully manicured grounds and snapped these shots of nature in the process of taking over.
Better ZOOMED.

well seen and a I love those buildings where ivy is creeping along the walls! but I also think about the many spiders coming through the window 😀
Zoom is everything, and, in zoom, these walls come popping alive and crawling with vines and leaves: real intense texture stuff...The top shot shows the amazing contrast between the left half of that wall and the right (thick/thinner). And your whites are bleached and pure, to set off the rat-a-tat greens. The bottom shot shows the intricacy and webwork of the vines, again with striking, bleached whites. Fine captures of the amazing phenomenon of vines...
Btw, I wholly agreed with a comment you made to Helle, about zooming: how it's really a pain that we have to zoom at all, because the display size is always too small. But I think Helle was referring to the size of the zoom, itself---that it's sometimes bigger than the zoom should be. Why, I don't know...maybe they use a different resolution than we intend. But when some of her shots were zoomed, apparently they were 'too big' even for the zoom; and, therefore, they suffered degradation. RR just can't seem to get it right. In any case, I know that Helle agrees with you 1000% on the zoom issue: Our pics should be displayed full size to begin with; either that, or the viewers should zoom without having to be told. I couldn't agree with both of you more. Not zooming is like reading half a book, then commenting on the whole. It's a slap in the face to the artist.
