Hurrah, hurrah, celebrating the 50th birthday anniversary of my city, captured way back in August of 2007.
I posted this shot way back in 2007, but it's always worth another look see.
A one humped camel is also known as a dromedary.
And, the smiling young lady looks so much like the actress, Helen Hunt. I wonder if that was her.

Yes, In Denmark we call it a Dromedar, when it has only one hump. And of course Kamel, when it has two. Excellent capture :)

(am I missing something by not commenting with huuuuge jpgs in the middle of my comments? More and more people are doing that...I guess it removes the need to write much, lol...it sure takes up space, I can tell you that!) You caught this at just the right moment, with that Helen Hunt-like lady turning to you---she is the one thing in the shot that's flush with the surface, while everything else is on that angle. Love that. And I love the different tones of the camels. And the concentrated gazes of the dudes. You got your background bright white, which is fine contrast. I really like the whole 'music' of this shot. And I think that woman is carrying something to clean up after the camels...
