Description
Captured way back on 4/25/06 during my first trip to the beautiful Descanso Gardens in beautiful LaCaƱada/Flintridge, California.
One of a trio entertaining the visitors at the Gardens. I don't know what that instrument is, just maybe a giant electric guitar or sitar of some sort, but where's the rest of it? Anyway, the dude appears to be in a far off state of spiritual liberation as he strums away. He was also in the same band as the previously shown woman dressed in pink/red playing her electric red violin.

Hahaha! This is called a Chapman Stick, that simple! Look it up on Wikipedia. It sounds (depending on how it is amplified) like a Guitar or an E-Guitar

just wanted to verify that I saw FurNose's comment---I'd have never guessed what this was! A totally fascinating instrument, and kudos to FurNose for knowing what the hell this was. Another of your quirky, delightful musical captures, with this guy obviously immersed in his music---a fine musical face and pose in this shot---playing one of the weirdest ___ing instruments I've seen in my life! (Pardon my french.) And I like how casually he's dressed. Your light here is powerful too. A delightful true-to-life capture.
