Here's a piece showing some of the flora and fauna of New Zealand. Center is the Greater Spotted Kiwi. There are 5 different Kiwi species on the the two Islands and all are endemic. The Greater Spotted is found on the northern end of South Island. The green moths (left and right sides) are the Puriri moths and endemic. It has a wingspan of 150 mm (5.9 inches). It is endemic to the North Island of New Zealand. The moth spends the first five to six years of its life as a grub in a tree trunk (including non-native species such as Eucalyptus), with the last 48 hours of its life as a moth. The red moths are Cinnabar moths. The wingspan of the Cinnabar Moth is 32–42 mm (1.3–1.7 inches). It is found in Europe and western and central Asia. Also it has been introduced into New Zealand, Australia and North America to control poisonous ragwort, on which its larvae feed. The moth is named after the red mineral cinnabar because of the red patches on its predominantly black wings. For the flora, there is Bush Lily or kakaha, Kidney Fern or raurenda, Common Shield Fern or pikopiko and Kauri tree snag. Rendered in Superfly without postwork.
