During a walk this week, I saw these two jugs in a garden, and I thought of you, Claude, and your dear wife, Maïté.
Knowing that its your spouse's birthday today, I decided to do something with these two pitchers.
So I went to play with the original picture, and here it is:

Another splendid collage from you. (Or montage.) The original is a delicate capture of frost on jugs and rocks. It's a beautiful photo, by itself. But your 'transformations' are beautiful as well: The top-left image is like two deep-sea, marine creatures. The one on the top right is like two OTHER deep sea, marine creatures. And the one on the bottom right is like two big cannons on a ship, and all kinds of architectural detail below and above them. Just fascinating detail. These are wonderful transformations, Jacomina. I love every one---including the original photo.
Altogether, they're a "Theme and Variations"---a musical term. 4 of the Goldberg Variations! Beautifully done, and I see that you're gift was greatly appreciated by Claude. I love your collages, I hope you do more.
