Description

Ya pun fully intended :-) This is just a start, got the base rigging, balloon and mapping off the two done today. Gonna start on the basket and burner tomorrow. Need to still do some more research on the burners and gas feed system. the balloon uses a strait forward 4000x2000 pixel seamless image for the texture, so pretty easy to make your own. Might try hitting up a couple of friends here to see if they would like to be in on this some by painting some cool balloon textures. Went looking for a Hot Air balloon to purchase earlier today and cold not find what I was looking for. Cybertechno and Skycaptian have a couple of really cool steam punk ones and vp has a modern one but I am looking for more of an old fashion one. So guess I am gonna have to make it myself. Already learned a bunch of stuff researching HA Balloons today. For example the world height record for a manned hot air balloon is just under 70,000 feet. Yoik's that's like a little over 13 miles up in a circus attraction Scooby, I hope you brought sandwiches.

These are so neat--I should have guessed that you made them! When I lived in New Jersey they had a hot air balloon festival every year and it was great to see them up close--the burners are loud!
