Description
Another beach shot; this one very early one morning. I loved the almost eerie feel of the volleyball net with the lifeguard stand behind it. The sun was just coming out and sparkled on the water.

Oh yeah, that's the stuff. Outstanding composition and some great luck getting the bird in the shot.
Very interesting picture, Marilyn, including the halo that surrounds the volleyball net, the posts and the lifeguard shack. So weird. Reminds me of the Carpenter fog ghost movie.
This does have a very surreal mood to it, and interesting balance with the net and lifeguard stand contrasted with the sky. The lone bird really adds to the rather spooky feel. I like it!
At first I thought the sparkles on the water were distant lights on the shore, perhaps across an inlet or bay.

the light and the 'shadow' around the net make it a visitor from outer space. And your pov makes it look like the net is larger than the city, like it's towering over the place. With a deep teal sky, and one bird. Very expressive piece, Marilyn. And very strong composition, with all that sky above, and all that intensity below. Powerful shot.
