Description
A sudden downpour on my way back from the shops this afternoon demanded a few photos, so I looked back toward the traffic lights.
I was so surprised and pleased to capture this alien by pure chance ! This picture is completely without postwork, but see an arty impressionist job of the scene Here

Yes, those taillights lined up perfectly with umbrella man. If you had set out to do that on purpose, it probably would have taken many tries to get it just right...

Amazing capture! If I was an alien i would have landed somewhere warmer and brighter! Plus you can wear sunglasses to cover those eyes!
Yes, with Mark, this does have a feel of Nikolay's photo-paintings, with the deep darks and stark lights, and melancholic sky up above. And your 'painted' version (on flickr) really feels like a mid-1930's painting, esp when zoomed; whereas this feels like a photo, rainy and wet and with mystery from a lit city street hovered-over by deep brooding skies. (Lowering skies, as Richard III called it.) And the car lights beaming through that man's umbrella are a great sci fi addition. Fine instant capture. (Looks like where I went to college, in New England. Mark Twain said of New England, "if it's not raining, wait a minute...")
