Description
Voramini gets drugged causing him to lose control of his magic. Kritalla shields him and Shimmer distracts him by scrying his pledged while Lyni drains the poison. All this gets in the way of Lynn telling Shimmer he’s her father.

Extraordinary work with this scene capturing everything that was transpiring at the time! Excellent!
And oh friggin' Fists! Argh! Damn. But the way you had him interrupt them at just that moment was so perfect because Thailyn's reveal is so massive in significance any secondary events would steal the thunder of it at that point, in my opinion. Very well done -- even though I'm dying for him to tell her.
I meant to mention yesterday how sad and disturbing it is for Ann to feel so uncomfortable with herself and her appearance too. Of course, now we know it's even much worse than that. Very troubling and very psychologically sophisticated.
Grand work, Phantom. Many irons in the fire here as you proceed.
Thanks Ann never learns to like her appearance, but she will eventually come to terms with what she's done and who she's become, when she learns to deal with and even work with her darker half.
Fists has terrible timing, doesn't he? Now Thailyn will never tell her. Spoiler, he really doesn't, not that she won't learn eventually but it won't be in this book.
