Description
Captured on my old Sears (Pentax) film camera, way way back in 1983. Despite not being as sharp as I wanted and some apparent noise in the sky portion, these came out relatively well after the scanning and a little postwork. Plus I did take shots when I got aboard.
The RMS Queen Mary has made 1,001 voyages across the Atlantic and is as magnificent today as she was when she was first placed in water over 70 years ago. It’s no wonder that many of her visitors have decided to remain - even in the after-life.
The RMS Queen Mary, one of the great Atlantic Liners, made her first voyage in 1936. Since that time she has completed 1,001 trips across the Atlantic, acted as a troop ship in World War II, and has been host to hundreds of thousands of passengers. Having experienced such a rich history, it seems only natural that the ship would be haunted. Throughout the vast ship (which is larger than the Titanic) passengers and visitors have seen and experienced strange things that they simply cannot explain. In other words, it is considered to be haunted.

What beautiful shots of this glorious ship. This ship is huge and has quite a history. To this day the ship is maintained to conserve its charm. Although it is docked in Long Beach Harbor, it is still visited by hundreds of thousands tourists a month. There is a hotel, private cabins, health spa, fine dining and other restaurants as well as many gift shops. Yes I understand the ship may be haunted. Nice postwork and fairly sharp images.

Thanks for more photos of this majestic ship. Interesting with the narrow bridge and the long, curved bridge wings, mostly exposed to the elements. Glad you still have some good quality in these old photos. Do please post what you have from the interior. As for haunting, an older liner was haunted (I don't remember its name). There was repeated tapping at a certain place in the hull. Finally the hull was opened and they found the remains of a riveter who had been enclosed without anyone aware that they closed him in. After the funeral the tapping ceased. Keep up the good work! :-)
