Many thanks for the critiques - no I don't get upset - how can any one possibly improve if there is no suggestions for improvement? To answer your questions. The dark spots are shadows which became extremely dark with the textures and lighting. The water, I was trying to give it a more wave like look but it insisted on looking like glass - finally gave up. So back to DAZ - This image is once again based on my son and his first dog, Sheeba. The dog loved to steal the hats off the kids and run like heck, she thought it was great sport. This was one of the sweetest most lovable dogs you'd ever meet. Dumb as mud but a sweetheart. She wasn't a retriever but a german shepard collie mix. Best to all and thank you for your honest comments.

Water is actually very tough to get looking just right, and it always vary's from source to source.

As to the image, well...that's one sure fire way of getting exercise!
