Question: When is a 2D, a 3D ?
Answer: When you're using Video Copilot plugins in After Effects ! LOL
A quick video using some of the new techniques I'm learning in After Effects CS6, using the way cool Video Copilot plugins.
It seems that the Nautilus Explorer is having a spot of bother with some pesky asteroid emissions in a zone called "Dangerfield"

Looks great, though I feel it needs a voiceover by someone like James Earl Jones. Also, if you want to see decent spaceships in 3d motion, for inspiration I would suggest you check out old episodes of Babylon5 and Battlestar Galactica.

didn't you read my intro ? it's a 2D program !!! ...and as for Babylon5, my all time favourite sci-fi, I have animated several ships and the station in the past. This was all about learning new techniques and programs...I rest my case...LOL

This is totally amazing, you really have put this together so well. I have watched it over and over again at least 5 times.
