This is a photo from about 2 month ago.
From above I took a picture of the limestone quarries of Limburg, "quarry 't Rooth", and as you can see still in use.
It is located in a protected area near Bemelen.
Also near Margraten, known from the Netherlands American Cemetery and Memorial.
Maybe you know this, it's an American military cemetery and memorial to the deceased American soldiers during the conflict in South Limburg,
the Battle of the Bulge and in the Ruhr region, during World War II.
In 2005, President Bush visited this cemetery.
