Its a well known fact that leaves have a hard time climbing stairs so they pile up in the corners until some of them can make up to the next step. I hope you are staying warm.

Those leaves are just waiting for the next innocent victim to walk by..... They are insidious. They attach them selves to your shoes and pants legs, when you're not looking, then wait until you walk in your door, to detach themselves, and infiltrate every corner of your house. I know. I have a whole backyard full of the %^#@$&^^* little demons... As well as my basement hallway, shop, garage. They even sneak into my studio.... Demons, I say......

Some of the stragglers are getting into our home too under snow boots and off pant legs.
Oh we are in a deep freeze -31c with the Wind Chill.
Not much snow YET=== it is on it's way, south of us has up to 6 inches and counting in the drifty parts.
I swore I'd commented on this---but now I think I commented on it in Rod's gallery (right?)---If I recall, he did something with it, and I really liked it, and recognized your style in the photograph. Well, I thought of it today, as I went up a stairwell with the same colors, and some dead leaves.
I love the bareness of it. And the loneliness of the leaves, the dark shadows, and that very rich green. And that, next to the yellow lines above, and a splotch of red (the faucet handle?), with some buildings in the background (with their eerie lighting)...It's really a late night shot (it feels that way, even if it was early evening). Really well seen, and really well captured: I like this shot a lot---enough that it came to mind several weeks after you posted it.
You do scenes like this proud; you capture the whole feel of a place...
