awesome country
I find it amazing that people have actually tried to scratch out a living there.
A raw stark beauty. Great POV and sense of scale.
Impressive wild landscape, great capture, Richard!
Just gorgeous..
Never been there but would love too. Great area capture.
What a beautiful shot! Lake levels are very low but it makes for a gorgeous photo!
Ancient inside ocean.....almost dead ;-)
Wonderful landscape, excellent capture!!
Beautiful view
Fantastic view with the lake, wonderful shot, Richard !
Wow great shot! Certainly no scenery like this near my home, but this reminds me of up on the mountain where the path suddenly stops, there's a drop, and a body of water at the bottom. Not sure if it's an old flooded stripping pit or natural spring though. They spent millions up there doing mine reclamation, planting trees and grass. Very beautiful actually. There's some kind of law that they have to do that.
Stunning landscape and atmosphere.
Thanks for sharing.
A fine landscape. I've only been to Lake Powell once, many years ago & this is how I remember it (though I probably didn't see it from exactly this POV). I could easily see a sci-fi film about an alien planet being shot here...
Exellent done.
a splendid vision!
Excellent series of the west environs.
This is a top photo, Richard, and something that belongs in a landscape photo book.
Great landscape shot here ! :)
a very wild landscape ! nude with dust !!!
Fantastic view!
Looks so low...but the scenic contrasts are fascinating. I particularly like the eroded rocks in the foreground.
