Who wakes to watch the sun give way
To life without the light of day?
Who hails the waxing moon with pride
And takes all things in blissful stride?
Who moves with graceful style and speed
In seeking only things of need?
Who weaves about the forest deep
As others languish in their sleep?
Who has the wisdom of a sage
A paradigm for every age?
Who through the twilight eyes so clear
And rules the darkness without fear?
Who stays alert and out of sight?
"HOOO..." but THE SENTINELS OF NIGHT.
