Description
A variation on one of these spooky guys from a front yard garden, the original captured way back on 12/19/06, a couple of miles from home. I have a copious file of this subject matter.
And, our local 99+ Cent stores began stocking up a huge supply of Halloween goodies back in early August.
Sweet dreams.

Great postwork giving this Gargoyle the illusion that it is in flight.
I like gargoyles but I do wish they had put nicer expressions on their faces, they all look to have indigestion or something. lol.

Amazing and well done!!!!!
What a beautiful gargoyle. I like it, but not in my garden :)
This reminded me (when it went up) of your mixed medium fantasies, with the rushing hues and motion-lines behind the gargoyle. A beautiful piece, with wonderful autumnal hues behind that stoney little beast. "Gargoyle" is from the same root as "gargle" (if you already knew that, you get a refund) because it spewed water out of its mouth. (It's 'throat', in other words.) But they designed these things like little demons and monsters, as if they were spitting-out all 'evil'. In your version, it looks like it's caught mid-flight. Beautifully done. And perfect for Halloween. And btw, why in the world do they sell Halloween decorations in early August, in LA? That's a first, for me!
