Description
Captured 6/5/16 @ 2:01 pm, of course at the beautiful Huntington Beach Concours d'Elegance, held on the vast grounds of the beautiful Huntington Beach Central Park in beautiful Huntington Beach, California.
The Nash Metropolitan is an automobile that was sold from 1953 to 1961. It conforms to two classes of vehicle: economy car and subcompact car. In today’s terminology the Metropolitan is a “subcompact”, but this category had not yet come into use when the car was made. At that time, it was variously categorized, for example as a "small automobile" as well as an "economy car".
The Metropolitan was also sold as a Hudson when Nash and Hudson merged in 1954 to form the American Motors Corporation (AMC), and later as a standalone marque during the Rambler years, as well as in the United Kingdom and other markets.

Ooh, what a pretty little vehicle this is! Almost toy-like, and beautifully maintained/restored. Great shots, Harry, as always!
Beautiful car my friend !!!
More of August 16. This is a major contrast to your blacks and whites. And I remember the Nash's very well. (I think my parents had a Rambler for a while---it was a Nash, and it was like a little tank, I know that.) You caught not only the pop-in-your-eyes splash-red of these beauties---along with the 'two-flavored ice-cream' look of the red against that cream white---but the compact bear-like feel of the car. The top shot really gets the chrome and beautiful contrasts of hues, along with a beautiful grill. Fine head on shot. The mid shot shows a side view with a beautiful toy-like feeling, and a sweet lineup of cars behind it. And the bottom shot gives the angle, showing the sweep, even with a squat little beauty like this. Another of your usual fine car presentations, with your usual fine work with light, chrome-sweep, shape-capture, and so on. It looks like such a toy, and yet, in your pics, it's like a little tank. More scintillating eye-candy from you from these car shows.
