Description
This is a photo from Friday afternoon's flight with the Inspire 1. This is looking due north from about 390 feet. I've set the altimeter to stay under 400 feet which is the legal maximum for hobby RC aircraft. Not a problem with me, as you can see a LOT from around 400 feet!
There's still a lot of controversy and misinformation regarding these useful and fun aircraft - mostly due to a few idiots that do incredibly stupid things like flying near airports or wildfires. As with most things, a few morons make it hard on those who want to use technology responsibly.
During this flight, I did tilt the camera straight down a couple times - just to make sure Dan wasn't dangling beneath the drone! :-D

Wow! I've had a lot of great ideas for the Girls' Cosplay party - it's only been one day, and there are already a ton of ideas from the Girls' fans on Rendo and Fantasy Attic. Here's what we have so far (and it's only been one day!):

And sad the a holes ruin this flying sport doing stupid things. Incredible view at 390, hope you have more. Bet the girls were thrilled at this height.

I have to admit this is very impressive. I'm almost tempted to get into drone myself and I just might some day. Very beautiful scene Have you been attacked by hawks and other large birds?
I've had a few circle around and take a look, but for the most part the Inspire is big enough that they don't get very close. In the video you can see a bird - about the size of a pigeon - fly towards the drone, then quickly back-pedal away. I've never seen a bird back-pedal before! LOL
That realy a nice toy to keep all beautifuls pictures and videos
What a view.... I have to say I had a similar view, only I couldn't enjoy it... but I have to say that drone takes great shots and videos... awesome work on this!!
Wow this is a fabulous view and what a great part of the world you live in. Super clarity and I hope they don't put too many restrictions on your use of the drone as I would love to see more of these views. You will have great fun getting the girls dressed up for their party.

Same great quality as in your earlier posts. I see some small square red, yellow and blue things on the ground. Are they storage buildings or something else? The different shades of green are beautiful. Also, the shadows are nice - give an idea of how low the sun is. This is like looking at a 3D map. I read the comment about birds. I think they're curious but once they see it's not another bird, off they go. The backpedaling bird gave me a good laugh! Any chance you can post the video of this somewhere? I'd love to see it! "Oop! That ain't a birdie!". Keep up the good work! :-)
Those red, blue and yellow things are actually small bleachers. I don't think they get very big crowds! LOL I'll try and post a video soon on YT and/or Vimeo.

Went to an airshow here in Arlington, Washington in the middle of July and stumbled across a seminar on the new (or draft?) FAA regulations regarding civilian drones. It was being given by a state of Washington civil servant who flies drones for the state and as a personal hobby on his own time. I learned a lot but also heard there are still many shades of grey yet to be defined. But I did remember 400' :-)

LOL @ Donenna! Yeah, look for holes in the foliage or curious Dan-shaped depressions in the landscape. And that's a cute little river you have there! I had to look to see what the red, yellow and blue things were, they're wee tiny bleachers!
