More from the Alabama Hills, just outside of Lone Pine, California.
If you don't see the toe-prints, don't worry about it ... just enjoy the rocks and move on. :P
The rocks have not been defaced ... the discoloration is a natural patina.

We traded the motorhome in on Tuesday, and are now mostly settled in our new travel trailer. I haven't taken any pictures yet, although I did find the cameras today!

It looks like giants passed this way once upon a time. I would have thought living in a motorhome would have made things easier to find but I guess every move is the same.

I see a peacefully slumbering rather portly figure with a contented smile.
I think I've passed that rock on the way to work before.
I do see toes, and possums, and bunions, and a big bull dog (high peak on the right---stare at it, you'll see the face in profile), and a bunch of old dinner rolls, and a bunch of play-dough all piled up in a mess, etc. Love the shot, and the patina of it, and the composition, with that peak on the right. And the light clouds, including a bunch---left-center---which look like you drew them in with a pencil, in repeated lines. (Or with white chalk.) (I know they're real, but look at them: You could've sketched them in as a doodle.) Fine proportions, as always, from top to bottom. A very soft inviting picture, for a big pile of freakin' rocks! (Or mounds. What's the scale here? Are those trees on the bottom? Or weeds? I don't know how big these things are!)
