Description
The fresh greens are such a delight at this time of year.
We still have a few weeks before the open fishing season begins and we have to look out for discarded fishing line, hooks and drinks cans, plastic carriers and half eaten food. Only this week a friend's dog got caught up in the rushes in mid stream and took so long to free herself that they called the fire brigade to help. Luckily she eventually got out and they cancelled the shout. But it is most likely that she was entangled in line.
Every other Saturday a gang of volunteers clears up the rubbish. There are bins provided, but a certain type of person can't be bothered to use them.
Of course not all fishers are so badly behaved, but the good ones can get tarred with the same brush

Beautiful area. It's usually just about 10% of the group that spoil it for the rest...
Beautiful place to walk. Hattie once got a fish hook caught in her leg. A couple of YOUNG fishermen helped me cut some of the line off leaving the hook for the vet to take out. They were berating the older fishermen for leaving rubish about. Was refreshing.

Such beautiful and peaceful scenes. There is always a certain element that messes up things for everyone else. Entitled and often stupid, they are like animals who must mark their territory wherever they go. At least the animals have an excuse.
