Description
There are lots of these along Humboldt Bay. They are fun little birds to watch as they wade in the water looking for food.*
*The godwits are a group of large, long-billed, long-legged and strongly migratory waders of the bird genus Limosa. Their long bills allow them to probe deeply in the sand for aquatic worms and molluscs. Wikipedia

Great capture. He looks like a larger version of a sandpiper. I like these little guys because while the seagulls will fight over the bread crumbs we throw at them these birds just go about their business finding as much food as they can eat.
God willing, the Godwit goes wading through the water in search of prey. Love the lighting and textures, Marilyn.
