Description
In my country we say, "It always rains on wet "! First, my PC, (obsolete and old) went to "Crash" ,resulting in admission to a skilled technician .
When, after several days, as I was about to reassemble all parts , I accidentally dropped one of the three external hard disk, the most important,where I keep my data.
I spent the last 6 weeks in a desperate, and almost vain attempt , of trying to rebuild the "Runtime" of my Poser 2012 destroyed, (along with the data downloaded from the WEB over the last 6 years), Therefore, for two months, no internet, no contacts with friends on the WEB.
At one point I was tempted to send all to hell. It's already the third or fourth time that I have to start all over again and , at the threshold of 70 years ,everything seems heavier and difficult. However, in the end, I decided to try again and, little by little, I managed to rebuild ,at least in part , what was lost, for the pleasure of being back to dialogue with all my friends on the WEB.

I am sorry! Of all the things I lost! my Mind I miss the most and my 1TB Externial Hd with all my Runtimes and Zips obout 2years ago I recovered and upgraded I say I will backup everything Tomorrow!LOL Glad you are Back! and You are OK!

I know all about it... I've had three computers go the high road on me... and as of today I still don't have every thing I had... but I go with what I can! cool scene, I wonder how it will end.. octopus anyone?..

Sure hurts to lose any data, especially the stuff we worked so hard on. I feel for ya. Tech is great when it works, but when it doesn't I'm sure we all use some colorful words. Having learned the hard way I now back up everything on dvd's. Good luck and good to see you posting!

I am a stickler for backing up purchases on dvd's. I have totally rebuilt my runtime several times and I know it is a pain. I just backed up my actual runtime again after 3 months of not doing it. outstanding posing on the critter from the deep.

I was really sorry about your computer problems. (I read your description some weeks ago.) I went through "computer hell" about the same time you did: But I don't know how to rebuild computers, and I didn't lose a hard drive. There comes a point, with failing computers, where (yes) you want to take the whole machine and throw it out the window. I'm glad it worked again, and you could connect to the web again. And you did it with a delightful image.
The selfie is taken by a companion octopus! (Octopus? If I have the wrong animal, forgive me...) I love how he holds up the camera. And He's pretty friendly with that lady. The pic is soaked in a late-summer amber hue, it's got a beautiful honey-amber-orange feeling. And I like your shadows. And the use of reds as accents. With a lone boat in the background...You caught a really restful atmosphere...and in the middle of it all? An octopus taking a smartphone shot. Delightful.
