Both funny and serious too. I love the deep green patina, I love the shade, and the way the yellows are muted by the shade. The details are beautiful---in the leaves, the stalks, the eggs (and their ragged edges), the details on the sabertooth, and that big bird, etc. And there's a certain classy cartoonish feel to this---the bird and sabertooth have a bit of high class cartooning in them, a wonderful caricature-quality that I really like. But they're also really well done. The sabertooth is slinking away, like it knows it did something bad. Well done. ANd I love the mouth on that bird. Very well done, with fine detail and wonderful light and shade throughout.
