Nice capture. Looks like you caught the "Golden" hour of light. If this was taken in the evening and you waited about another hour then you get the "Blue" hour of light, where the atmosphere would have a blue hue to it instead of the gold hue, this would be reversed if taken in the morning.

full zoom is imperative, and it would be great to see this even bigger. Since the bottom 3/5ths of the image is covered in shadow, the sudden bright yellow-gold line right above it is striking. It outlines a beautiful upper portion that sings with light, contrast and scintillating photographic detail. The yellow streaks set off the browns and reds beautifully. And your crop eliminates the sky, bringing us right into the scene. (And you top the photograph off with a streak of light on the land, which acts like a sky, of sorts.) Beautifully done and cropped. A very peaceful capture too...
