Description
Another one from the beach at Bandon. This log at the water's edge looked like it was bleeding to me. I assume that red color is from leaking sap, though I'm not 100% sure...

Looks like bleeding sap to me. I wonder what tree has such an internal color and sap color? Never seen that before. Keep up the good work. Got us puzzled here. Maybe someone knows. :-)
There is a tree from southern Africa called the Bloodwood tree that bleeds a dark red sap that looks like blood...A wonderful image my friend :)

Katherine writes the most loving and enthused comments (the same energy she puts into her gallery)...it's such a pleasure to read her. But you get wonderful comments from a lot of others too. (Now watch, I'll write "this is awful"...) No, I won't write that. This looks like a huge dessert made from nature. A slice of a very rich confection, with fruit sauce on top---the reds---and sugar and some kind of cream filling, and I don't know what. The bottom is truly foamy. And the many textures and layers above it are amazing. In zoom, this is a true abstract made from nature. Terrific image, Claude.
