This just validates what I have believed for some time, that more care was taken in the past with everyday items. This is quite beautiful. The best we ever had in my mother's house was a red orb that looked like a tomato.

What fun!. I am such a klutz that she would have been long ago broken. I do better with the non-breakable tomato version referred to by wysiwig. Actually as a kid growing up in Arizona USA we had chunks of dried century plant stems we used for pincushions.
