Lovely image. However, a biological entity stops being a 'child' when it enters puberty. it becomes subject to the drives and needs of a sexually mature adult. Frustrating those drives for years or a decade or more can result in psychological and emotional harm to the individual. So, preventing girls from getting married until they are 18 or 20 years old can have significant negative psychological consequences. Obsessive compulsive disorders related to physical attractiveness, eating disorders, etc. Failure to recognize realities like this mean that half the women in the 'progressive' countries are going to kill their husbands and most of them need to be on prescription antidepressants. There is no scientific justification for a girl not getting married at the age of 12 or 13 or 14. Further, there is a lot of evidence to suggest that age of onset of puberty changed with the out of Africa migration. "Child Marriage" around the age of eight exists not 'throughout the world' but in tropical zones where the initial migration occurred and where adaptation to periodic winter famine, producing delayed onset of puberty as an adaptation was unnecessary. A diet rich in calories and fat can cause early onset of puberty. It is entirely possible that girls of recent African ancestry fed a diet rich in calories and fat can enter puberty as early as seven or eight years of age. I suspect that the sick perverted obsession with age and age difference in sex probably developed as a side effect of mass education. People were unnaturally segregated by age in classes. Most social interaction occurred within an artificially narrow age range, this became the norm. Violation of the norm became taboo. To sum it up there is absolutely no scientific justification for the cause you are advocating. it is the modern equivalent of the religious wars and witch hunts of the middle ages.
