Awesome macro shot Mies.
Each blade looks so pretty with its frosty blanket cover.

I'm skipping around...so don't be surprised by the "random" nature of my comments today...I just have wanted to catch up with some of your many beautiful images for several days now...
When you posted this, we still had snow and cold winds in Chicago. So this image felt totally familiar. Your crop lets us focus on 3 simple layers: The frosted leaves, the dark mid-ground trees, and the bright sun-bathed background. It's such a simple combination, but it's beautiful. You have a wonderful eye for detail in your photography and fractals, and you caught the tiny 'fingers' of ice on every leaf. Amazing clarity...The background is a mix of greens and purples and yellows, and the soft focus makes it like a sea. And yes, we can see the sun peeking through. Your crop is perfect. A beautiful shot, Jacomina, and fitting for March, which is still a cold month. A perfect late winter "layer cake". Beautiful.
