I have been on top of Pike Peak and took photos but that was in the 1980's do not know where those photos are plus my mom just die so it a blank for most of it.

A wonderful painting for the book cover, and your mountains look so beautiful.
very beautiful
You did a marvelous job on this one, Jocko! I live in the plains but have traveled through mountains and this looks a lot like what I remember seeing! Bravo!
It looks pretty darn good to me, Jock! This is so colorful and full of exuberance and life!
My condolences on the passing of your mom - you are in my thoughts and prayers, my friend!
Cool and great acrylic abstract of the man atop the mountain ranges, Jock. The mountain range in the back could have been a lighter and hazier blue. And, I didn't know you were in France and Italy.
I'd say you did a pretty fantastic job of capturing the look of the mountain. Very nice work.
Fantastic painting, looks superb. The colors are very well chosen.
Beautiful painting dear Jock. I love your choice of colours. Hugs. for all day. DiDi. xx
You have and you haven't been to a mountain...hmm, yeah ok, neat memory painting and colour palette.
~Cheers~
Jock, I think you did a really great job. You made the sun shine on the mountain and the person seems to feel happy. Only I would change the hand a little bit. Maybe he has a book in his hand. Would be a lovely cover. I am so sorry for your loss of your mother, Jock.
I've been in the Rockies a few times, and this looks like some of the foothills. I like it!
People and mountains ... This is a very special relationship. Fabulous image, Jock! Wonderful done!
the way the artist interprets the situation and if viewers find pleasure in viewing is what makes great art. you got the depth so well
Hi my friend, I just came from your sons Face-book, and saw the book with your painting on the cover, and it's so well looking. Many congratulations too!
