Description
These tall Eucalyptus trees are lining California State Route 1 north of Stinson Beach, California just north of the Bay Area. Eucalyptus tree seeds were being brought from Australia starting in the mid-19th century to replenish the fast dwindling available local lumber which was used for mining, railroad construction, and other projects. Eucalyptus trees are fast-growing hardwoods which are used as ornamental trees, windbreaks and for medicinal purposes.

Wow, great looking trees!
Beautiful trees and overall view.Great capture.
Bet it smells nice; we had a long row of quite tall eucalyptus trees bordering my elementary school playground, and that scent is a huge part of my childhood! Lovely capture
Gorgeous woods and shot!!!
I did not realize they got so tall and such beautiful wood too.
I still remember seeing such trees on my visit to California , as I was heading for Big Sur ! A superb capture, Sig !
A lovely photo, but I really hate when folk plant them in gardens here, they get so tall and then we are forbidden in my district from felling anything thicker than a mans arm!
@durleybeachbum: And they are messy Andrea. I had one in front of my condo and it constantly was shedding bark, which is highly combustible.
A lovely capture of this beautiful stand of Eucalyptus trees, I love their bare trunks.
Shining shot.
I think they're beautiful, and I love the bark, but I hear they're now an invasive in California.
Wonderful capture my friend. God bless.
Beautiful
