Description
I created this illustration for the upcoming POWERS BEYOND roleplaying game that will be published by Epic Age Media. This will appear in the "Equipment" chapter. I was shooting for a retro/modern comic book inspired look, which is why I went with the coarse halftone shadows. This is a composite of renders made in Iray and 3Delight in Daz Studio 4.8. I manually outlined the items (to give them more definition and help achieve the aforementioned comic book look) and applied the halftone filter in Photoshop.
Although a simple illustration, I think it's pretty effective in setting the mood and tone I was aiming for.

Very nice work, great comic feel.
I'm missing the slightest touch of a very small, almost inexistant shadow "point" below the handle of the top-right instrument, but it's really a detail. Excellent result!
VERY good eye! I doubt I have time to fix this before it goes to print, but I will probably add that shadow for reprints and the PDF version. I'm also going to go back and look at the original to figure out why that wasn't visible in the original render. Thanks!
