Description

Yeah, if he told me to stop I'm pretty sure I'd stop... Yes it's an old image, rendered in Bryce back in 2009, but I just realised it wasn't in my Renderosity gallery and really it ought to be. Used Freak 4 (Duh!) and some old sword from a Michael 2 outfit with Bryce materials added. Slight postwork to add the light beam and the glow on the sword, otherwise its straight from Bryce.

I remember how tough it was getting posers into Bryce and remembering to add the eyelashes and all the other little textures--but the results here are nice! I always liked the Bryce lights so much, and how fun the sky lab was! This is a great addition to your gallery!

Yeah, setup time for the materials in Bryce is slower, but the rendering speed and quality has always been so far ahead of Poser that I do it without thinking. Setting up decent quality lights is a lot faster in Bryce too, so sometimes it isn't that much longer than just rendering in Poser. Of course some of that only applies if you are thoroughly familiar with Bryce (and yep, I am) and if you're rendering very large images, where the render speed advantage kicks in. Since I usually render at 4000 pixels wide or bigger (for printing) Poser would take so long to render it would drive me crazy.

For my best example of Bryce lights see my image, "Enchanted Forest: Party Time!" which was rendered at a 6000 pixel width.
