Fantastic scene and character.
One of your wonderful moody American towns at dusk scenes, with very moody light, encroaching night, and great light on Betsy (who stands out strongly in front). Those old cars are perfect, as are the old brick facades, all of which lead to an overcast sunset sky. With a big old neon sign on the right (the Travel Agent sign)...And the light from the street lamp (behind betsy) hits the car and the road very well.
Betsy is dressed consummately, once more, and I love her cloche with the flower, and her bright white shirt. I think she's wearing overalls, which would indicate that she's from the farmland. It's really well composed, and a delight. And even though this isn't a big city (by big-city standards), she looks pretty overwhelmed by it. Beautifully done on all counts. And you got the mood perfectly.
I went to grade school with a Betsy !
My friend was always happy and just as pretty as your model, well done.
