Ute, I'm taking a leave-of-absence from RR, due to work, and also because I'm getting medical work done on my arm and shoulder...but I'm still commenting; I'm just not commenting on every image right now, so please accept my apologies for being late on this, and for not commenting on everything you've posted since I stepped down...I'll get to as many as I can, while I'm gone. But Congratulations on winning artist of the year! I'll see the site-post later this weekend. (Ie, with the video and interview.) But you do such delightful and beautiful work, and I'm very, very happy you got this. And I know you've had losses and struggles, too, and I hope recognition like this helps bring light where there is darkness. The image is delightful, with one of your angled rooms; and the pianist is dressed in a beautiful gown, with your usual attention to detail at every level; even her bracelets are done beautifully. And she's smiling grandly. The piano is beautifully lit. And your huge windows are filled up with fireworks and some beautiful winter facades. And the room feels grand. A beautiful celebration...and congratulations once more, I'm very happy for you, Ute! I wish you a great and inspiring year ahead!
